I play soccer so I designed the Sports modules and some of the elements in the other modules around drills, skills and activities that soccer players can benefit from.
BUT! You can adjust the drills, add your own or plan new ones. Just copy the module Google Slideshow and you can make it your own. -
Decide what you think you can reasonably accomplish. Some great mentoring on a small scale is better than no mentoring!
Try a few things out and be open to growing the program over time. Document what you do and what works/doesn’t work so you can make it better!
If you are a player (young or old) that is interested you should talk to a coach or parent! If you decide together that there is interest then you can take next steps.

Absolutely not :) You can do more or less!
There are 18 modules, which I thought about in terms of doing 3 in each session (1 from each category) for six total sessions.
But you can do one module at a time and only cover a few. Or mix-and-match based on your team’s needs and interest level!

Great question!
When you open the Slideshow, it is View Only.
Click “File” and "Make a copy” so you edit it however you need or want to.If you think you or your teammates will use the Mentor Notes, don’t delete those :)

There’s a ton of value in 1-to-1 mentor models!
Based on feedback from my test players and families, I wanted to make something that allowed for connection and flexibility.
Players move on from clubs, scheduling conflicts come up and sometimes a mentor/mentee match isn’t spot on.
These modules can work if you have your whole team showing up or smaller cohorts.

This program is geared towards the mentorship of the U9-U12 team by U15-U18. But like anything in this program, you can adapt it to your needs.
The slideshows would work for almost any age, but if you want to go younger than U9, you may need to modify some of the activities.

The curriculum is totally free to use, and I would recommend making it free for players to participate in once you start it so lots of players can do it!
If you need to rent field space or incur other costs, you might see if your club or other organizations can help sponsor elements. Fundraising is also an option to try to keep things as accessible as possible. -
Although that would be great, mentoring is not for everyone! It is ok if as many or as few players can participate as want.
Consider small groups or “families” if you need to combine.
